Iguazu Falls is one of the largest water falls in the world, larger than Niagra. It spans Brazil and Argentina. Here you can see pictures of the many different falls which make up the overall Iguazu Falls. We were really impressed, not only the size of the massive waterfalls, but also the variety of falls and their tropical jungle setting.

As you look through the pictures, look for the movie clips, like the one on the left which shows the power of the water. Also, there are 2 Virtual Reality (VR) movies that let you pan around like you were standing at one point. With the VR movies you can pan up, down, left, and right. You can also pan out to see the whole height of the VR frame, or you can zoom in to see more detail. There is a lot more detail than is visible in the initial image.

We have assembled a short movie, in addition to this page, which shows a wide range of views around Iguazu Falls. The movie is rather large so choose the size that fits your connection speed.

Union Falls on the left, drops 230 ft. into Devils Throat Chasm. On the right is San Martin Falls. What is impressive is not only the size of these falls, but the number of falls and their variety.
Upper part of the falls in Devil's Throat Chasm. Brazilian Falls on the left, Belgramo Falls on the right, and just barely visible above is the massive Uniton Falls.
On the right side, Julia stands at the top of one of dramatic smaller water falls.
We took the jungle safari and raft trip, where we rode through the jungle, then walked down into the gorge. You then board a raft for a trip up into Devil's Throat Chasm and partially under one of the smaller falls (above left). Although you don't go very far into Devil's Throat Chasm, the waves still get pretty big. This part of the trip should also be know as "Water Park Ride- BIG!"
We took the helicopter ride over the falls and down the river to the Itaipu Dam and Paraguay. Left and Right are dramatic aerial views of the Devil's Throat Chasm and the San Martin Falls, respectively. Follow the links to a larger picture--- DRAMATIC.
The meeting of three countries: Brazil on the left, Paraguay in the foreground, and Argentina at the top. Here is where the Iguazu River, from the upper left, joints the Parana River.
Foz de Igaussu, Brazil (upper) and Perto Iguazu, Argentina (lower) are separated by Rio Iguacu.
A short movie, also taken at the Brazilian Falls, that shows the falls, and the overlook platform.

A 360 degree VR panorama, taken from the top of the big falls- Union Falls. Pan over and see the Brazilian Falls and to it's right the big union falls.
A cloud of mist rises from the Union Falls, which can be seen from a long distance.

A short movie taken from the Brazil side, looking up Devil's Throat Chasm. The movie starts with the Brazilian Falls and pans over, ending on Rivadavia Falls.
Iguazu River splits in a wide fan in the upper section, shown on the left above, before falling into an elongated "U" shaped gorge, flowing out to the right.
